Belonging – A Journey of Enquiry

October 20 @ 7:00 pm - October 22 @ 3:00 pm

In an ever shifting world, what are we belonging ourselves to?

With Jenny O’Hare and Niall Graham

20th – 22nd October 2023

In our modern worlds, the experience of belonging is becoming ever more tenuous. This shows up in our personal lives, in our relationships, and in the ways we inhabit our place in the world. We may often ask where or to whom we belong, or truly feel at home.

Join us for an experiential weekend where we explore our longings around our human experience. We look at our reality through the lens of our relationship to Self, to Other, and to Place. We cultivate wholeness, and enact practices and resourcing for the more that we know is possible. We use the tools of nature connection, the eco-soul centric development wheel, presencing, intentional dialogue, sharing circles, ritual and more to deepen our lived reality of what it means to be alive in these times.

What or who do we want to belong to? How do we foster our capacities of belonging in a shifting and changing world? If you have an enquiry living within you, a belonging or an unbelonging that needs to be lived and shared, this weekend is for you!

This will be a deeply nourishing time of connective enquiry. We tend to the self, we connect with one another as a group, and we tend to the broader interconnections of land, place, community and culture that shape our realities.

You are so welcome.

Tools we use, and what to expect (including, but not limited to):

  • ~ Nature connection practices rooted in eco-therapy and ancient wilderness traditions
  • ~ Presencing and Somatic practices to support our personal enquiries, and our relating to Other
  • ~ Intentional dialogue and communication practices towards deeper connection
  • ~ Ritual space for holding the beyond physical realities
  • ~ Inspiration from the rich landscape and culture of surrounding Donegal
  • ~ Wisdom of the elders embedded in and deeply connected to the surrounding land and Community

Testimonals

I arrived feeling quite hollowed out and alone in the world after a very stressful year, and
left feeling inspired by the deep warmth and power of humanity and love. Thank you both
for skilfully choreographing such a brilliant weekend.”
~ Úna

“One of the most potent and well held gatherings of my life. Transformative and super
informative. Now I am deeply, soul food nourished, changed and warmed by our
experience together.”

Jenny O’Hare

Jenny O'Hare - Deep Ecologist and FacilitatorJenny is a Deep Ecologist, writer and facilitator, whose immediate and ultimate sense of belonging has always been to the living world around her. That journey began in an enchanted and fascinated relationship with nature as a young girl, which led to completing degrees in Earth Science and Ecological Conservation, alongside work with various environmental organisations.

Knowing the depth of human-nature connection far beyond the scientific realm, and when a change of continent prompted a new learning of landscapes (both inner and outer) Jenny began to explore and offer deeper ways of connecting with the living world. Jenny has completed training in Nature Resonance, Eco-Therapy, Eco-Psychology, Spiritual Ecology, the Work that Reconnects, and Solo Nature guiding. Nature has ever been her mentor. Her own offerings draw on all of these modalities, but hold simplicity at their core: our presence and participation with life.

Her work has recently included Seasonal Nature connection toolkits, guided meditation practices, Wheel of the Year ceremonies, Eco-grief circles, and supporting Wilderness Rites of Passage. Returning to Ireland in 2021, heeding the call of the land, she is passionate about reigniting a depth of connection between humans and the ancient bonds that hold us all.

Niall Graham

Niall Graham at The Song HouseNiall’s is Facilitator and Mentor in the realm of Mens Work, Embodied Masculinity and Polarity. He leads courses, mentorship programmes, and an online community of men to support developing healthy masculinity. His journey of returning to Ireland after living for many years abroad has informed the enquiries: ‘What is relationship to land, to nationality, to people, to masculinity?’

Having trained with many organisations around the subjects of deep soul work, nature connection, ritual and Initiation, he and Jenny have developed this body of work to respond to the deeper question of our time: ‘What is Belonging?’
