Sowing the seeds to come
Imbolc is a special time – Winter has not yet passed from the land, and yet our hearts and minds turn naturally to the coming Spring. What will accompany us on our way? Here at the Song House we are delighted to continue the tradition of honouring and celebrating the turning of the wheel of the year. Join us as we mark this bridging time!
Our community Samhain celebration gave us faith to welcome the darkness, and now we begin to dream of emerging from it. Imbolc, derived from the Irish phrase “i mbolg”, meaning ‘in the belly’, is a time when life once again begins to stir within. As we prepare ourselves to emerge from this dark portion of the year (and what a time it has been!) what will accompany us on our way? What seeds are lying within, wanting to be coaxed to life?
In the ancient traditions of old, it is together and in resonance with nature and her cycles that we might be able to dream and tend the threads of light that we each carry. How is it that we might resonate with Earth at this time? What whispers of life are stirring in the deep, or perhaps just below the surface, in our personal and collective worlds?
Here, we come together as a community and encourage and nourish one another back to life. We emerge from the fallow, and tend to the fertile…
Join us!
What to expect: This online community session is a modern manifestation of ancient ways. We will host a warm and open space for you to rest into this time of year, with shared wisdom, song and gently guided and experiential activities where we can share and dream together for this fertile time. Our Samhain celebration in October was a great success! We aim to continue this gathering of souls who are committed to life, and to honouring the full spectrum of experience. Come to be comforted, inspired, witnessed or simply to honour Imbolc. All are warmly welcome!
