Join us for a special ceremonial evening, broadcast to you live from the Song House, Donegal. Together we will share our stories, sing songs and honour the threshold nature of this phase of the year.

2020 has been a year like no other, with a rupture that has added fierce weight to an already fragile world. With a host of challenges that have tested both our personal and collective realities, we might ask of ourselves “Where to Now?”

Skilled facilitators and hosts will bring us together in an online community Circle. In this participatory event, we will create a ritualised atmosphere, and be guided through song, sharing, listening and collective harvesting, to honour and move through these poignant times.

This event is open to all – come with your curiosity, come with your challenges, or come just to witness the evening, or to partake in tradition and the cyclical nature of life. All are welcome, join us!

2020 has been a year like no other, with a rupture that has added fierce weight to an already fragile world. With a host of challenges that have tested both our personal and collective realities, we might ask of ourselves “Where to Now?”

“How might the time honoured traditions of our heritage support us in moving through these times? When we are required to rest in place, how might the roots of that place nourish us in growing forth?”

Traditionally, our ancestors marked the turning of each phase of the year. This marking of passages helps to ground us in the here and now, and offers a pause for us to gather and reflect.  Samhain was considered the beginning of the yearly cycle, with its descent into the darker half of the year. The wisdom of our ancestors recognised that all life begins in the dark, and so this time was marked by rituals of celebration to welcome this potent time of year.

We will carry on this tradition in a contemporary way, by joining in an interactive online workshop. We will do as our ancestors did and harvest the year so far, honour the darkness as a natural part of life, and resource ourselves for going forward. We will also celebrate this new phase of the yearly cycle! The event is open to both those who wish to partake and share as well as those who simply wish to witness.

We invite you around the Song House fire as we collectively mark these times, and experience the power of community and tradition in celebrating life in all its realness.

The event will take place from 7-10pm on Friday the 30th of October, in line with the growing full moon. Your hosts will be Candy Verney of the Song House, and Jenny O’Hare Deep Ecologist and facilitator, with special guests to be announced. Tickets can be purchased here, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds, please just reach out.

Join us for an evening not to be missed, real medicine for very real times!
